A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts, William is one of the only students in the school’s history to graduate with a double BFA in Film Production and Drama. After studying with the Stella Adler Studio of Acting for four years, he pursued his film degree with a focus on the Director-Actor relationship, with a goal of bridging the gap between the theater and film worlds. William has completed numerous shorts and most recently completed the feature films “Percival’s Big Night,” and “Jane Wants a Boyfriend” from writer Jarret Kerr, the LGBTQ feature films, “That’s Not Us” & “The Ring Thing” and the dystopian future thriller "The Volunteers"
“Percival’s Big Night” had its U.S premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival, UK premiere at the Raindance Film Festival, screened at the Marche Du Film at the Cannes Film Festival, and completed a theatrical run at the Brooklyn Heights Cinema in NYC.
“That’s Not Us” has premiered at Inside Out Toronto LGBT, Frameline, Outfest, and has been invited to screen at over a 30 other festivals during 2015. It was distributed by Strand Releasing and was acquired as a Netflix exclusive in Spring 2016.
Jane Wants a Boyfriend,” starring Eliza Dushku, Amir Arison and Louisa Krause, won the Best Actress and Best Ensemble Awards from the Napa Valley Film Festival. The film was released theatrically by Filmbuff is Spring 2016.
The Ring Thing” recently premiered at the Provincetown International Film Festival, Outfest, Palm Springs International Film Festival, and was released Spring 2018 by Gravitas Ventures.
"The Volunteers," currently being represented with ICM Partners and Spotlight Films, is being positioned for a strategic roll out leading up to the November 2020 Presidential Election.
William is currently attached to direct the screenplay adaptation of Lauren Grodstein’s best-selling novel, A Friend of the Family.
